The objective of the personal branding identity system is to create an identity system for my own brand. Creating a way to identify myself and the work I create was what I wanted my brand theme to follow.
One of the primary goals when creating my own brand identity was to of course include my own name logo but not only that, I wanted to create a graphic that represents what my work is about. In my case, I am aiming to become a UX designer. This means I aim to create products for customers that are easy to use, meaningful, and relevant to them. Basically, It is all about creating the best process for customers to experience. With this concept in mind, I wanted to make a graphic that could express this with a minimalistic approach.
From these concepts of UX design and my name I began to form an identity system and create my logo.For my name, I chose a font that was clean and simple but had a uniqueness to it that would suit digital/technological themes, which is what UX is about. I decided to keep my first name lighter and last name bolder because to me, a person’s last name holds a powerful recognition. Next for the graphic part, I wanted to highlight “easy-to-follow processes”, so I created two lines flowing to represent processes occurring which created a square shape. I wanted to keep it a square shape because I also wanted to imagine how my overall logo would look on different stationery and objects. I wanted to make sure it was something that was easy to transfer over and look good on many things. So, having a square-shaped graphic on a logo seemed to be effective for me to achieve that. Finally, the colors I choose were chosen because I wanted to keep a clean, yet effective look for my brand.
