This project was assigned to my UX 2 class by Elizabeth Rodwell, Ph.D. The objective was to come up with an app idea and create a high-fidelity prototype through Figma. My group and I pondered upon many wonderful ideas until we thought of one that excited us all. The idea in question: Create an app that generates date activities based on a letter picked from the alphabet. The app randomly selects a letter, then produces a list of activities that start with that letter. For instance, if the app lands on the letter B, a list of ideas such as "bowling, burgers, bookstore" would be displayed and the user is able to pick one to send to one or more people.
Wireframing on Figma was a brand-new process for all of us, we split it into three phases. Phase 1 was just the initial wireframe, which we drew on paper then transferred onto Figma. It consisted of a couple of black and white shapes that represented things like buttons, icons, logos, etc. Phase 2 consisted of a working wireframe. We took the wireframe from phase 1 and improvised it into actual buttons, icons, logos and added text but kept the black and white color. We then linked the frames to make it a working piece. Finally we moved onto Phase 3 where we added our color palette, official logo, images, working links, and proper buttons and icons to make it a high-fidelity prototype.
